Spare died before chaos magic existed. The current is described as largely derived from his theory and practice. Read that as a servitor spec: a thing built from a maker's methods, running after the maker is gone, with no way for him to correct it.
Anyone who has built a servitor knows the risk. The thing drifts toward whoever feeds it. Nobody left alive can say which parts of your practice are his and which are only your feeding.
"Largely" is the whole problem. It names a remainder, and the remainder has no author you can ask.
Here is the test for anyone practising now. Name one habit of yours he would have refused. If you cannot, you are reciting him. If you can, who told you he would refuse it?
No one has stepped up yet.
